Taking the separation of triglycerides as an example, triglycerides are composed of light phase liquid glycerin, viscous soap heavy phase liquid and a small amount of solid impurities. High purity glycerin and soap containing trace suspended solids can be obtained by using horizontal screw centrifuge. Features of this equipment include:
1. The feeding pipe accelerates the feed liquid into the silo of the spiral cylinder;
2. The acceleration cone is located on the outside of the drum cone section, and there are several rib plates on the inner wall. The accelerated feed liquid enters the accelerating cone through the hole for separation. The heavy phase liquid is in the outer layer and the light phase liquid is in the inner layer, and flows into the liquid pool of the drum cylinder section along the axis. This reduces the entrainment of heavy phase liquid through light phase liquid in the separation process;
3. The separated light phase liquid overflows through the hole of overflow weir plate. The overflow weir plate is adjustable, which is used to adjust the depth of light phase liquid in the drum liquid pool;
4. The heavy phase liquid containing a small amount of solids is discharged to the slag outlet through the spiral action through the annular channel between the accelerating cone and the drum wall;
5. The size of the annular channel is determined by the specific gravity and volume percentage of the two-phase liquid and the feeding speed of the feed liquid. In order to ensure that the light phase liquid does not enter the channel and enters the small end of the drum, the periphery of the big end of the accelerating cone should be immersed in the heavy phase liquid, and the radius of the slag outlet of the drum cone section should be greater than the radius of the inner surface line of the light phase liquid.
The improved horizontal screw centrifuge is characterized by that an annular baffle is installed on the right side of the feeding hole of the spiral cylinder, and its diameter is affected by the specific gravity, volume percentage, feeding speed and other factors of light phase liquid and heavy phase liquid, so as to avoid light phase liquid entering the restricted channel. At the same time, in order to better discharge the heavy phase liquid, a pipe is installed in the feed pipe through which compressed air is conveyed to the drum liquid pool. In order to avoid the air escaping directly from the overflow port, baffles are installed on the big end of the drum and the spiral cylinder respectively, so as to form a light phase liquid channel of appropriate width. The diameter of the outer edge should be greater than the diameter of the inner surface line of the heavy phase liquid, and the inner edge should extend into the light phase liquid.
